At UNGS Golf Club, we believe that golf is more than a game—it's a tradition built on respect, integrity, and sportsmanship. To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and fair experience for every member and guest, we ask that all players adhere to the following rules and etiquette guidelines.
📜 Club Rules
1. Membership & Access
- Membership cards must be presented upon request.
- Guests must be accompanied by a member at all times and are limited to three visits per calendar year.
- All guests must register at the pro shop before play.
2. Tee Time Reservations
- Tee times can be booked up to 7 days in advance for members.
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid fees.
- Please check in at the pro shop 15 minutes prior to your scheduled tee time.
3. Course Care & Pace of Play
- Replace divots, repair ball marks on greens, and rake bunkers after use.
- Maintain a pace of play of 4 hours or less for 18 holes.
- Allow faster groups to play through when appropriate.
4. Dress Code
- On Course: Collared shirts, tailored golf shorts or slacks, and soft-spike golf shoes are required. Denim, cargo shorts, and athletic wear are not permitted.
- In Clubhouse: Smart casual attire is expected. Golf hats are to be worn bill-forward and removed indoors.
5. Safety & Conduct
- No loud or disruptive behavior.
- Always ensure players ahead are out of range before hitting.
- Use cart paths where provided and avoid driving within 30 feet of greens and bunkers.
- Alcohol must be purchased from the club—no outside beverages allowed.
⛳ Golf Etiquette
On the Tee
- Stand quietly and still while others are hitting.
- Honor the player with the lowest score on the previous hole (honors system).
On the Fairway & Green
- Ready Golf: Play when ready if it’s safe—don’t wait unnecessarily.
- Avoid walking in another player's putting line.
- Mark your ball on the green and tend the flagstick when asked.
- Flagstick Rule: Players may choose to leave the flagstick in when putting.
Priority on the Course
- Faster groups have the right to play through. Invite them to pass when safe.
- If searching for a lost ball, signal the group behind to play through after 3 minutes.
Mobile Devices
- Use silent or vibrate mode.
- Calls should be taken away from tees and greens.
Scoring & Handicaps
- All scores must be posted promptly using your HNA/Golf Link number.
- Play by the rules—integrity is at the heart of the game.
🏆 Tournament & Event Etiquette
- Arrive early and check in with the tournament committee.
- Adhere to all local rules and competition guidelines.
- No gimmies in stroke play—every putt must be holed out unless otherwise stated.
- Congratulate opponents and fellow competitors—win with humility, lose with grace.
